JM20: C John Collins talks to us about the days of Gen 1, the connection with Gen 2 and how he appreciates science.

For so long I struggled with how to read Genesis 1 and 2. What do you make of those days in chapter 1? How does it fit with what looks like another creation story in Genesis 2? How does it all fit with scientific data? To say that I struggled would be an understatement. While I am always wrestling with it, I am far more confident and clear about what those chapters are saying and what they are not saying.

I owe so much to a man whose work I have read extensively and have now met recently.

C. John "Jack" Collins is Professor of Old Testament at Covenant Theological Seminary in St Louis, Missouri. With degrees from MIT (SB, SM) and the University of Liverpool (PhD), he has been a research engineer, a church-planter, and, since 1993, a teacher.

He comes on the show as a most respected guest and it is my pleasure to share this interview with you all.
